serving metro Detroit & Oakland Co.

Since she became tall enough to reach the counter, Maurita Plouff has enjoyed preparing and cooking meals for friends and family. In November of 1999, she decided to leave the fast paced world of technology consulting and program management to dedicate her efforts to a new business: Madame the Chef Personal Chef Service.

Understanding the pressures of long hours and busy schedules, Maurita knew she could make a contribution to a better way of life for people who are stressed and out of time. Madame the Chef is designed to simplify any client's busy life by providing healthy, home-cooked, preservative free food. Maurita creates menus, shops for food, prepares meals, and leaves detailed instructions for heating.

Her experience includes catering for various groups under less than perfect conditions, including the Warbirds of America at the EAA Flyin at Oshkosh, where Maurita and a tiny crew serve several hundred hungry people from an unheated shack. She can produce a superlative dinner for 30 from a 2-burner Coleman stove, so just imagine what she'll do in your nice kitchen!

A member of the American Personal Chef Association and the Personal Chefs Network, Maurita is a certified Safe Food Service Manager.
